A bit about founder (and "the boss") John...
John Bergin established Fundraising Consultants more than 20 years ago, driven by a passion to help charities and not-for-profit organisations tap into their resources and unlock stories that warm the hearts of their donors. He and his small team have worked with a wide variety of organisations, from the largest international aid agency in Australasia, and New Zealand's largest non-government voluntary welfare organisation to private colleges, high-profile Christian organisations, and start-up charities.


And his team...
A small, eclectic band of copywriters, designers and communications specialists work with John to provide best-practice professional fundraising and communications advice based on practical experience of what works.

John is one of a handful of New Zealanders who hold the internationally recognised Certified Fundraising Executive qualification for professionalism and excellence in fundraising. With more than 30 years of experience consulting in countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Austria and South Africa, he has experience on every continent. John is a member of the Fundraising Institute of
New Zealand (FINZ), and a past member
of the Fundraising Institute of Australia and Association of Fundraising Professionals
of America.
